An owner needed more technical capacity in the field
M. J. Mac Inc. is an Ivyland-based HVAC and refrigeration company serving the Philadelphia area and beyond. Its work includes commercial refrigeration, heating and air-conditioning service.
At onboarding, founder Jay McIntyre described a busy service operation. The recruiting need was specific: people with the practical skills to support commercial HVAC and refrigeration work, rather than a general pool of applicants.
Start with the technical role, then keep feedback moving
Yellowstone Local onboarded the account on August 4, 2026. A Commercial HVAC/R Technician hire was recorded on August 14. In the August 28 client sync, Jay independently confirmed he had hired that technician through Yellowstone Local.
Jay described adding notes directly to the recruiting system after interviews and distinguishing candidates with ductwork experience from those with the troubleshooting skills he needed. That feedback helped keep the search tied to the actual work.

An early hire with a practical effect on the owner's workload
The first recorded hire came 10 calendar days after onboarding. In the client sync, Jay explained that the new technician was helping his lead technician with work the two of them had previously been handling together.
By October 14, the recruiting team had recorded three hiring decisions across Commercial HVAC/R Technician and Commercial Refrigeration Technician roles. One had a future scheduled start, so this case distinguishes hiring decisions from confirmed starts. The early result was additional technical help, confirmed directly by the owner.
