Growth takes the right people, enough of them, and a recruiting function you invest in continuously. Yellowstone Local helps skilled trade companies build that foundation so they can grow a business they love to lead.
For almost a decade, I helped skilled trade companies grow through marketing. Again and again, I saw good businesses run into the same problem. They could create demand, but their biggest constraint was finding the right people, and enough of them, to deliver the work and keep growing.
When I looked at the recruiting options available to those owners, I saw a gap. Too little was built around the way skilled trade companies actually operate. Generating more candidates or hiring from a job board alone could not solve the problem.
Recruiting has to be a critical business function. It takes a consistent process, serious investment, and people who take responsibility for the outcome. It is work you keep doing and improving as your company grows. We help companies build and run that function.
The people on your team deliver the work, shape the customer experience, and create the capacity to grow. Getting the team right gives you tremendous leverage. In my experience, it can produce greater returns than almost anything else you invest in.
Most of our clients already know the strain of having a team they cannot depend on and too few effective solutions to change it. I left the work I was doing to start Yellowstone Local because I wanted to help them move beyond that cycle and build businesses they actually enjoy leading.
I own Yellowstone Local outright, without debt financing, equity partners, private equity, or venture capital. I am committed to keeping it that way. Owning this business lets me stay accountable for what we deliver, protect our standards, and keep making the service better.
I truly enjoy this work and believe in what we are building. I have no intention of selling.

If we ever stop living these out, fire us. Seriously.
Not us. Not a job board. Not a staffing agency. Every candidate, every conversation, every list we build. It belongs to your company. Always.
If you can't explain a strategy to a foreman in 60 seconds, it's not a strategy. We don't hide behind jargon, dashboards, or buzzwords.
Flat monthly fee. No placement bonuses. No per-hire kickers. We win when you retain. We lose when you don't.
We don't hire dental hygienists, marketing managers, or software engineers. Just techs, journeymen, foremen, and supers. That's why we're better at it.
We move with the urgency of someone who knows what an empty truck costs. 14 days from kickoff to first applicants. Weekly hand-offs after that.
We do not believe blue-collar work is anybody's plan B. The people who keep buildings running, water flowing, and lights on deserve the same recruiting investment as anyone in tech.
Our internal team brings together leadership, client success, recruiting, support, and operations. These are the people responsible for delivering the work for our clients every day.
The people setting the direction and owning our results.

A frustrated HVAC owner in Texas spent two hours describing his hiring problem. Warren took notes. Five pages of them. Those notes became the first product spec.
All HVAC. All in the south. All referred by other owners. We learned what worked, what didn't, and what blue-collar hiring needed that nobody was building.
We replaced the duct-tape Google Sheets and stopped relying on cookie-cutter ATS tools. Designed our own system around the actual workflow of a service manager.
The playbook held up across trades. We hired senior recruiters from each specialty so every account got someone who actually knew the work.
And growing. Every single client started the same way: an owner fed up with their hiring problem. Every client stays for the same reason: it works.
We're building toward 1,000 active client shops in the next three years. New service lines for adjacent trades (welding, refrigeration, low-voltage). A best-in-class career app that puts the trades on the same footing as any other industry. We're not done. We're getting started.
Every intro call is operator-to-operator. No SDR pitch. No demo deck. Just a conversation about your shop, your hiring problem, and whether we can fix it.
